Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Chem Trendz Journal (CTJ)

General Instructions

Chemical Journal contain scientific articles on topics relevant to the field of Chemical science in the form of research results, simulations and the development of fundamental concepts. Articles proposed for publication in the Chemical Journal must be articles that have never been published in other scientific magazines. Articles can be written in English using good and correct written language rules.

The article is written in manuscript form in MS Word with A4 page size (210 x 297 mm) with a left margin of 25 cm, a top margin of 30 cm, a right margin of 20 cm, and a bottom margin of 20 cm. The article is written in single-column format with a simple text layout Possible. It is recommended to only use the writing facilities provided in MS Word (bold, italics, subscript, superscript, equation, etc.) and not use other facilities that are not available in MS Word (embedded graphic design, embedded symbols, embedded equations, etc.). All parts of the text in the manuscript are written using Palatino Linotype 10 pt font.

Special Instructions

The manuscript begins with the title, author's name, author's address, abstract and key words, followed by a content section consisting of introduction, research methods (model development), results and discussion, conclusion, thanks, list of notations (if any), list. References and Appendices (Figures and Tables). In writing manuscripts, figures and tables are not presented together with the text in the contents section, but in the Appendix section, each of which is equipped with the serial number and name of the figures and tables. The serial number and image name are written at the bottom of the image, while the table number and table name are written at the top of the table. Please ensure that the quality and size of the images presented are large enough to produce good print quality (one page for one image). Please do not frame the image. This will make it easier for the editor to edit and format the writing later.

1. Title, Author's Name, Author's Address, Corresponding Author

a. The title of the article is written concisely but informatively. It is advisable not to use abbreviations and formulas that are not widely known.

b. The names of all authors are written below the article title in full but without titles. At the end of each name a superscript letter is given to identify the author's address. Apart from that, it is also necessary to identify the author responsible for the correspondence.

c. The author's address is written below all author names starting with the superscript letter corresponding to each author's name.

d. The correspondence address is written in the foot-note section on the page containing the author's name. The address must contain a complete and clear postal address. Apart from that, it also includes e-mail, telephone and fax addresses.

2. Abstract and Key Words

a. The abstract is written concisely; contains the aims/objectives, results and conclusions that you want to highlight. Abstract length is approximately 150-200 words. It is recommended that abstracts do not contain abbreviations or formulas that are not widely known.

b. Directly below the abstract text, write 6 (six) appropriate selected keywords, each separated by a comma (,).

c. The abstract and key words are written each in 1 (one) language, namely English.

3. Introduction

In the introductory section, the background of the research/writing is presented, a brief literature review which explains the state of the art of the research and the objectives of the research/writing.

4. Research Methods (Model Development)

In this section, the materials used in the research are presented. It is necessary to convey in sufficient detail the research methods used to ensure that the results obtained can be repeated or reproduced. If the submitted manuscript is a model development, it is necessary to provide a description of the proposed model and how the model was evaluated/used.

5. Results and Discussion

In this section, the research results (model development) obtained systematically and constructively are presented, accompanied by a comprehensive discussion that supports the research objectives and strengthens the conclusions. Even though the research results are presented in the form of tables or figures, the tables or figures in question are not inserted between the text but are attached in the attachment section. In the text, it is enough to mention the number and/or name of the table or figure being discussed.

6. Conclusion

This section briefly presents the main conclusions from the results obtained.

7. Notation List

The Notation List is written in alphabetical order. Latin (Greek) letter notation is written in the order before the alphabet letter notation.

8. Writing references

a. References in text

The library source for a quotation or excerpt in the text is written in the text section with the following rules :

• Single author : author's last name/surname (no initials, unless there is confusion) and year of publication;

• Two authors : both authors' last names and year of publication;

• Three or more authors : first author's last name followed by et al. and year of publication.

Library sources can be written directly in the text or in brackets ( ). If there are several library sources, the order of writing is alphabetical and then based on year of publication.

Example: "... as revealed in previous research (Allan, 1996a, 1996b, 1999; Allan and Jones, 1995). Kramer et al. (2000) recently stated that....”

b. References in Bibliography

The bibliography is arranged in alphabetical order by author's last name and time (if necessary). If there are several references from the same author for different years, it is necessary to provide an index letter "a", "b", "c", etc. after the year of publication.

• Libraries in the form of magazines/scientific journals/proceedings :

Capek, P., Hejtmanek, V., Solcova, O., Klusacek, K. and Schneider, P., 1997. Gas transport in porous media under dynamic conditions, Catalysis Today 38, 31-38.

• Libraries in the form of books :

• Bibliography which is part of a book with an editor :

Mettam, G.R., Adams, L.B., 1999. How to prepare an electronic version of your article, in: Jones, B.S., Smith , R.Z. (Eds.), Introduction to the Electronic Age. E-Publishing Inc., New York, pp. 281-304

Article Loading in Chemical Journal

Manuscripts, in MS Word format, which have been written in accordance with the provisions above are sent to the editorial address in the form of 3 (three) original printed copies with good printing quality along with 1 (one) soft copy in CD form. Manuscripts can also be sent via the editorial e-mail address (more recommended). Apart from that, please also attach the Personal Data of the Corresponding Author which includes the author's name (complete with academic degree), agency where he works, correspondence address, e-mail address, telephone and facsimile.

Manuscripts that have been accepted by the Journal editorial team will go through a review process by the Editor and Reviewer. By considering the results of the review, the editor has the full right to accept or reject a manuscript for publication.
